A letter to our community - Sarah has been diagnosed with breast cancer

Hi legends,

We don’t usually write to you about anything other than surfing, board covers, and epic surf gear, but you’re part of the Boardsox community, so we wanted you to hear this from us.

Sarah has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The good news is she caught it early. She has a road ahead over the next few months, but she’s strong, stubborn, and already calling it “just a wipeout.”

From the outside, Boardsox might look like a big brand. The truth is, it’s still very much a family run business. Sarah runs our Ocean Grove shop, packs your orders, helps customers, and still sews products by hand.

So while she is going through treatment, things may slow down a little. Orders may take a few extra days, and we’re pausing express shipping for now. If you genuinely need something quickly, email Dan at support@boardsox.com.au and we’ll do our best to sort it for you.

What we really want to say is this: please don’t step back to give us space.

Sarah is a single mum, we still have a business to run, and honestly, we need our community now more than ever. New preorders and designs are dropping in the coming weeks, and every order, message, share, and bit of support helps us keep things steady while Sarah focuses on getting well.
